Glamorously Cheap

Hey, hey! One of the FIRST things you should know about me, is just how cheap of a shopper I am like 99% of the time! NO, I did not say "frugal". (I'm not that fancy. Haha.) I straight up said, "cheap"!  How cheap you ask? The most inexpensive shirt I own is $1.00. A cute T-shirt that's a really pretty shade of blue. It's not about how much or how little you spend. Nope! It's about shopping wisely, budgeting when need be, having fun while doing so, comfort, and of course how good you look and feel in your outfit! "Cute", "beautiful", "nice", and so on... DOES NOT MEAN "EXPENSIVE". However, I do realize that, sometimes, spending more can mean longer lasting, more durable, clothing. BUT not everyone has expensive clothing, big spender, kind of money. No judgments here! I'm describing myself for most of my life, so I can relate. (Plus, again, I'm cheap. Haha.)  Also, I have a shirt in my closet that I've have for over 15 years, and it's still in good condition! So, caring for your clothing goes a long way! (Plus, sewing comes in handy! Though, that's another topic!)

So, what's the fashion share for the day? I wore a very simple gray dress that was somewhere around $10. Gray is easy to dress up or down. I decided not to accessorize too much, but what I did wear, I already had for a long time. (My cross necklace pretty much stays on, and was a gift from a pastor/family friend. The pearl earrings are my mother's. The ring, my sister-in-law gave me a while back. You'll see where we're going with this.) Gray makes colors like red, pink, and purple POP! So, my favorite - red lips! - was a MUST! What made me feel a little glamorous? The spiral curled hair, my annual Princess Charrese birthday crown, the fly lashes, the red lips, and the humble confidence! Basically: Sometimes, YOU are your own accessory... especially when the day is to humbly celebrate YOU. Humbly love yourself. No matter how little your clothes costs. No matter how much of what you're wearing is a hand-me-down, or a gift, and not personally bought. No matter what anybody says. YOU are beautiful. Just the way you are. Brands and labels are NOT important. Money CANNOT buy you self-love, confidence, the sincere love of others, true friends, or genuine happiness. Feel good with what you have, or with what you're given - WITHOUT SHAME, and enjoy your occasion!

With Love,

P.S. Next fashion posts will include full length example photos. The dress was just passed the knees, and loosened up ever so slightly. I would have worn silver heals, (heals in which you will see a couple posts from now), to go with the jewelry. Also, my birthday was last month, however, this look helps to express a little bit of what I'd love to share. See you next post!
